- I started painting around 1990 and loved it straight away. I started with watercolour,and then after about 15 years I moved to Oils and acrylics. I still paint the odd watercolour to keep my hand in so to speak. I love impressionism. The only time I use detail is when I paint portraits. Otherwise it is my interpretation of the subject. I am retired but still find it hard to find time to paint. I reckon I can manage to do a painting about three times a week. Originally I was a Motor Mechanic. Then, for the eighteen years leading up to my retirement, I worked for Barclays bank.
Oh Vic, this is beyond high marks it's I think may be one of my favorite of your paintings. It tugs at the heart. I love the sky and sea the way they meet without harsh horizon line. The tones in the water and splashes of white, simply Brilliant. Keep these coming . All the best, Joan

Vic I agree with Joan, this is an exceptional painting. The softness of it and father and son sharing a special day. You have captured a wonderful mood. Excellent!!

ReplyDeleteHow are you? Thank you for your nice comment It was absolutelly crowded at Whitstable when we went there three Sundays ago. There was even a couple of Bands giving out lively music. All the best Sue.
