Good morning my friend. It is good seeing you and Harry enjoying the beautiful English countryside. Your watercolor is lovely, I look forward to your acrylic painting. Frame your watercolor, it's great.
Good afternoon my friend. Thank you Joan for your nice comment. When I do the Acrylic it will be slightly different to the Sketch. It will show more foliage and more water and less harsh Cast Shadows, I hope. I`m painting another scene at the moment from wednesdays Sketch. All the best Joan. Vic.
Hi John. You are more than welcome my friend. You deserve at least a thousand followers with your drawings, they are unbelievably realistic. I just don`t know how anyone can draw like that. They must take you ages to draw them. Do you use a Magnifying glass? Also thank you for being a follower of mine John. All the best. Vic.
Hi John. That surprises me John that you don`t use a glass. That is really fine Drawings that you do. Have you alwayes Drawn? No John, it isn`t drier here mate, as a matter of fact it is raining at the moment. But there is a possibility that it might be dry enough to go plein air tomorrow with a bit of luck. all the best John. Vic.
I started painting around 1990 and loved it straight away.
I started with watercolour, and then after about 15 years I moved to Oils and acrylics. I still paint the odd watercolour to keep my hand in so to speak. I love impressionism. The only time I use detail is when I paint portraits. Otherwise it is my interpretation of the subject.
I am retired but still find it hard to find time to paint. I reckon I can manage to do a painting about three times a week.
Originally I was a Motor Mechanic. Then, for the eighteen years leading up to my retirement, I worked
for Barclays bank.

I never use a glass, Vic. The pictures are fairly big which makes the detail look smaller.
DeleteHope it's drier down there than it is up here in Yorkshire.
Cheers
