Dalmatian. 6x8, oils on board.

What made me want to paint this chap was the way he was standing there looking at something. Plus his lovely slim and strong body. Perhaps he is looking for the other 100.

  3. Oh Vic, this is excellent my friend. I not only love his expression, but you managed to capture beautiful tones in his coat. That is very difficult for this type of breed. Great work.

Thank you very much my friend. There were only three tones that I had`to capture. No big problem there. I did enjoy painting it. All the best Joan.

  9. I love this Victor, for the same reason you wanted to paint it... I love the idea of him "looking for the other 100." My grandparents had a dalmatian named "Checkers." We all wondered why Paw Paw didn't name him "Spot." You captured the inquisitiveness look of a cute little dog. :)

  12. Hi Gina.
Thank you for visiting and your nice comment. I wonder how many Dalmatians are called Spot? I should think an awful lot. Thank you Gina and all the best.

  13. Hi Nancy.
Thank you for the pat on the back. It would be nice to paint owners Dogs. But the problem with me is that I have got to really want to paint the Dog and not because I have to. But you could with your Portraits Nancy. All the best.
